As a destination wedding photographer, a Lake Como, Italy Elopement has been on my bucket list for a long time. Lake Como, Italy is peaceful, tranquil, and mesmerizing with its beauty. I don’t think I’ll ever get over how large the mountains are!

Lake Como is in Northern Italy, near Milano. It borders with Switzerland, so the views around the Lake are absolutely breathtaking. I experienced taking a train for the first time, and wow what a way to travel! I highly recommend downloading the Trenitalia app. This made it much easier to navigate! Once you get to the Lake, you can take the ferry to get to different parts of the city. If you sit on the upper level of the ferry, the views are incredible.

Another fun part of visiting Lake Como, Italy was experiencing all the different versions of Aperol Spritz that they have. A nickname for this drink is “an Italian sunset in a glass,” how cute! Did you know this orange, fruity drink traces back to the 1800’s in Italy? It’s safe to say I enjoyed my fair share of Aperol for quite some time while in Italy!

We found this Villa on Airbnb. It was extremely easy to book and locate once we got to Lake Como. Our host was so gracious and helped guide us on things to do in Lake Como.

I am SO grateful to have experienced Lake Como, Italy and all of its beauty. It was a trip I will never forget!
